European Doctors & Nurses Limited is not only a recruitment agency but also provides a complete recruitment solution for clinical and non-clinical staff in the NHS and in the private sector. We work with clients to provide a person specification and a job description, then design and place appropriate advertising both in the UK and overseas and on our website, which gets over 30,000 hits a month. We then sift responses to our advertising, prepare a short-list of candidates answering the person specification and arrange interviews.

Our doctors

We specialise in the supply of doctors from abroad, mainly Europe, who wish to work in Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. We are not primarily a locum agency, as we focus on long-term contracts and substantive posts.

We are on the Department of Health’s list of international recruitment agencies, who carry out business in accordance with the NHS Code of Practice.

We now have on our database over 3000 doctors who wish to work in Britain. These doctors range from anaesthetists to urologists, from PRHOs to distinguished professors, and about a third of these are on the specialist register in their countries and eligible for GMC specialist registration.

European Doctors Ltd Management

Our General Manager has over 20 years experience of recruiting professional staff in Europe. He has considerable experience in headhunting, tracking down senior specialists at deputy department head level in one country and managing their move to a more senior job in another country. 

Our Medical Director has worked in several specialities in the NHS and has been a consultant since 1992. Our Medical Director will review the details of interested doctors, including their background, qualifications and experience. A decision will be made on probable suitability for a locum or substantive job in Britain. Depending on the Medical Director’s decision and available vacancies on our database, we will follow up and make the doctor available to a suitable hospital.

Our Recruitment Consultant is a South African psychologist. She and her doctor husband graduated in South Africa and emigrated to Britain. She  has personal experience of the challenges of relocation to Britain and many of our doctors have found her experience very helpful.
